Nice sprite tut, this is one of the first sprite tuts I've seen that doesn't include C4d renders...which is a good thing, it shows that you can make things with the basics. I think it would have came out better if you didn't include the black & white gradient map

 

Wow, it is detailed.

Great tutorial. Not my style, but that doesn't hinder from the fact that I love it. ^^ It'll help a lot of people. And going off of Mario Famous, it does show not every signature needs to be made with C4Ds. ^^
