http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.mspx They released the final version, not bad a good improvement, but I think i'll stick with opera
same here, but i thought IE7 was coming out with vista... o well.. maybe now i can view pngs correctly in ie-only sites...
yup, IE7 can view png transparent. but its pretty much a copy of firefox so im just going to stick with firefox for now
Is it more secure? thats all I care about since i barely use IE anyhow... and does it get rid of the old 6.0?...
I'm not sure on security, but it does block phishing... and it is a whole new world with 7, it may use some parts of 6, but it's streamline look, and transparent pngs not looking "g®ay", its an improvement even though IE is not your primary
Its alot improved for that fact, but I would still stay with Firefox ( which I use ) or opera which is another great web client
firefox is actually starting to piss me off as of late, the search bar just like died on me... furthermore the sheer ineffectiveness of ti and the horrible loss of bookmarks and saved data...
Absolutley agree. No amount of window dressing from MS will make me consider using it until all the serious bugs have been taken out, something that has plagued it IE since day 1
Internet Explorer 7 is great (I especially like the thumbnail views of all tabs) and a pretty big improvement. Saying this, it still isn't enough to convince me to switch from Firefox or Opera. Web standards rendering is still horrible in Internet Explorer, as well.
Yep Internet Explorer maybe really good now but it's still not as fast and working as FF P.S Is the virus problem solved in this version?
Well it looks ok, but I'll stick to firefox until IE7 becomes a 'high priority' update. Mainly because moments after it was released they found a security flaw
I just got it and am using itnow, I still prefer my firefox over IE but then again every program has a flaw its a matter of findign them thats time consuming. I'm liking IE7 so far and I must say the icon is way cooler and its far more improved then IE6 and its defintely a breath of air appreance wise over ff...
