I prefer PS. GIMP is a good program but PS is the best graphics program there is.

I have used both and I would have to say PS CS2 is the better program, although the GIMP's filters are extremely good.

In fact, my current sigs are both made in the Gimp  ^_^

I agree with Insanity Prevails and ferret.

GIMP can be just as good, just requires a lil more work.

A program and it's limits, can't limit you. I use GIMP, I never had enough for photoshop. I can do things that are similar to photoshop. Everybody who says GIMP has low quality is using stereotypes from people who probably aren't as experienced. It's the artist, not the canvas people.

Definitly photoshop, gimp has some good programming in it as well for similar things as to what photoshop can make, but PS just simply excells gimp in a numerous amount of ways.

I would have to say photoshop. I used gimp before I got photoshop and its a good starting program to learn the basics. But photoshop has many number of things which wipes out gimp for sure. Such as the quality, when you save an image on gimp as a jpg and set it to high, your picture will be blurred to hell....

idk it depends on what you want to do i mean their are something’s in gimp that you can do that you cant do in ps and vise versa but i think that both can give you some cool looking sigs
