Winrar Help

Ok this is happening with all of my winrar files now and I have no clue why. When I open my winrar file, all of the files inside have these 3 characters after the file names: <--. Then when I try to open the file I get a Diagnostic message error that says "You need to start extraction from a previous volume to unpack <filename>. Can someone tell me what's wrong?

 

try reinstalling winrar.

 

I reinstalled and it still has the same thing. Anyone else know what to do?

 

This usually means that the file(s) were rar'd into several rar files. You will need the other rar's to extract it.

Example.

file1.r1
file2.r2
or
file1.rar
file2.rar

Yes, r1,r2,r3 ect are rar extensions. You will need all the files that were originally rar'd in order to extract.

 

hmm, you try re-downloading the files?

 

try using a differnt file type..
