I want to start playing guitar and I want to know how this package is. http://www.activemusician.com/item--EM.BHR...ONE-GUITAR-PACK I'm looking for something cheap that comes with an amp. Any ideas?
any cheap guitar is good for starting pretty much. once you know youre going to stick with it start thinking about stepping up to a nicer one.
Well if you're just starting, the quality of the guitar isn't too big of a deal. I konw that the guitars sold where I take lessons are way more expensive than $100, and that's not including the amp. I'd say, sure, go for it. And if, in a few years, you are no longer satisfied with the quality of your guitar (which is how I feel about mine now), then get a new one. You may not even end up liking the guitar, and it would be a shame to buy a really expensive guitar for nothing. So I would say yes, go with that guitar.
Well if you want to start UBER low then go with that one, but imo its a piece of sh1t anyways if you looking for packages theres are fender squire packs and stratocaster packs for about 250 - 300 Cdn cheaper if your from the us but imo you dont need to buy a package for 250 - 300 you can get a decent guitar like a epiphone SG and a cheap amp 10 - 20 watts (believe me 20watts could shake you whole neighborhood). you dont need a ---- load of books and straps or w/e the basics is all you need for a begginer so in my opinion get a guitar that you will actually like fender (more classical clean sound) epiphone (same as fender but a little heavier) jackson (can range from clascial to metal) ibanez (same as jackson) so anyways nice guitar 200 - 250cdn / cheap amp 60 - 90$ amp and case +cords which is another 20 - 30 dollars bout that and you should be set BUT MAKE SURE YOU TRY OUT THE GUITAR BEFORE YOU BUY IT
I agree with Revolt. Though not so much on the guitar opinions. But hey that's why the call them opinions. A Fender Squire is a really good starting guitar. I've never heard of V-Tone, and I've played guitar for 12 years. Behringer makes decent amps, though a Peavy is much more bang for your buck.
