Thoughts On Myspace.

i use it because im a whore.

 

It's nice to either:
Keep up to date with friends and such
Check out bands
communication

What sucks is:
13 year old sluts that are all over
viruses
spam bulletins like chain letters and such

as for the people gettin raped and ---- cuz of it supposedly, they probly deserve it.... for being whores..on myspace...

 

ahhh myspace. I do believe it helps with communication in some ways. Like you can comment and mesage people, for instance, if someone didn't have the type of messenger you have (AIM, MSN, YIM etc) you could easily just comment on their myspace or message them. But like what's been said earlier in this topic, it's the predators highway. There's even been a recent incident where a girl had met someone over myspace, who lived in the middle east, and she had gotten as close to as buying a ticket to go there, then authorities found out about it and kept her from going.

I do enjoy myspace sometimes, considering it's fun to make layouts and stuff. I can contact my friends on there when they arent on AIM to go skating or whatever I feel like doing. Overall, myspace isn't bad. The stories about the people who are getting targeted from predators, it's there own fault, they're the ones that act like a bunch of dumbasses who solicite themselves to look like little sluts online to attract people, who aren't always the same age.

Overall, I like myspace, it gets boring after a while, but its still cool, I mean, with over 110million people, myspace must not be TOO bad.

 

I don't really agree with Myspace.

It's like a gate to rapists, predators, and stalkers. There have been MANY lives lost due to Myspace and manys rapes, children scarred for life. I personally HATE Myspace. I have never been on there and never will, it's just a saftey concern I have.

People on Myspace are retarded as well they basically say:

"This is who I am, This is where I live, this is what i look like, this is what i do, come rape me plz!"

Facebook > Myspace IMO.

Myspace is just like any other website.

Some like it, some don't.

But with myspace, most people opinions are quite biased. I know people who say "myspace sucks" when they haven't even visited the website. It's the opinion of their friends, so they go along with it.

I personally don't have one, don't be fooled by my profile. For some reason I'm not into it, doesn't interest me much.

 

I think that myspace is pretty cool. Its a place which has potential to prosper if people dont abuse it. I mean kidnapping? That could happen anywhere..

a point alot of people have made about not liking myspace is rapist, murders, and other crazy people.

You cant blame myspace for that.
you have to blame the ignorant children and teens who do not know how to be safe.

i mean who wants to meet up with someone they have never met in person before.

i guess its just kids being raised wrong, which i am a kid, im 16 and id never meet someone off myspace without having a friend go or having a adult come with me.

so its not myspaces fault.
its the ignorant children, and the parents that dont pay attention to what their kids are doing.

 

I ditto what you said. Myspace is really pathetic. However, thanks to facebook, the general audience of myspace has migrated and is now on facebook. Wtf? :huh:

I believe because facebook was private, kids started to covet it. And now it's for everybody.

but from what i heard its a wanna be myspace.

and any online community has the same ups and downs.
rapists and all the other will find ways to come into contact with people through any online community.

theres no way to stop them.
except use comment sense on the internet.
