Clean Up

Okey, I've been thinking about this for a time.


In the Show Off sections, (example Signatures, Large Art, Tutorials), there is alot of spams. Seriously.
How many post containing "Cool sig gj" in the post have you seen in the Signatures section.
How many "cool i wish i was as good as you" posts have you seen in the Large Art section.
And let's not even mention the "thx for the tut" posts in the Tutorial Section.

This has to stop. My suggestion;

• * Hire just a few new "Clean Up" moderators to clean this up, in one way or another.
  * Make a new rule in those sections, saying that you HAVE to give good Critisicm and/or a Comment. (Not a 'Gj' one.)
  * Those caught not following this, let them be fined. No suspension, but only a fine of credits and a warning. (A PM warning, not a warning level increase)

I think this would help alot to reduce the spamming, AND reducing the credit count. We all get credits from posting in there, and I think the main reason there is a spam like this is that those people know that they will get credits for each post.
It will also make the flame wars (not that there is alot, but still) in some of the topics.

Example;

A: "Here's my new signature, fresh off PS. CnC please!"
B: "That's nice."
C: "Oh my God that's the ugliest sig ever."
A: "Why is it bad, I asked for CnC and none of you gave good answers."

After that, no answer from B or C, because they wanted the credits from the post they made.


See my point? I think alot of people will appreciate it.

Yeah, I think that is a very good idea, as seen how there are many spammers in those sections lately.

Everyone does it though, some leave a comment, but if you aint got nothing else to say, then i say good job, keep it up.

If there sigs and that, or whatever, you can't think to comment anything else, IMO, then we shouldn't post.

Also, the tuts, people say thanks and everything, but what else are you surposed to say? Apart from maybe post an outcome.

It's going to take alot of time, and mod work for this to happen.

#1: Comment on what you liked about the sig, give somewhat how you would have liked to see it in a 2nd version

#2: Comment the tut. Comment the outcome. Give critique for the tut and for the outcome. Tell him if he/she made a typo, or anything. Just make a necessary comment.

 

IMO it's going to be impossible to stop it with the amount of members we have.

I see your point, and it's a good idea, just i think it's going to be too much work for mods to do, even if they bought new mod status out.

 

I agree with this. To many people just spam and say gj.

It's the same thing in the render section. You post up a render and half of the people just say nice cut gj on it.

Idk but atleast take an effort to comment on it. Tell me what is wrong with it or what you like.

But yea, idk how many spammers i found and pmed a mod about it. Idk what the mods did but yea xD

Anyways my point is, if your going to post atleast post something decent. Dont just say gj.

And i think we should do this. And if we need volenters to clean this mess up, well I will vollenter.

Already did, but still, even that, you'll need alot of mods to controll those forums really, so many posts get made.... <_<

And anyway, they do it for the credits when they post probally, which is being disabled, great, more shizle lol. :unsure:

Maybe, but after this credit "ban" is over, those people will go berzerk. Ever thought of the time after the credit system is brought back. It will continiue. The only thing really is that the creds will be worth more $$ after its over. :/

 

yeah.. many people do it to get or credits or 60 posts. I show something and someone says:

OMG that's really bad!

but i can't improve in gfx if i don't know what i did wrong.

 

Yea, I totally agree dior, people just want postcount/creds.

I think there should be at least 1 comment about something they like in the sig, or something they dont like.

Perfect example. justlouisa is the only one giving proper CnC, the others are quoting and saying "what he said"
