Mp3 Help

Is there any good programs that could help me reduce the size of MP3s?
Preferably free

 

Please help ASAP, im in a bit of a rush

 

you can rip cds at a lower bit rate like 96. sound quality won't be as good, but its smaller.

 

I need them for my phone though so they must be WAV or MP3!
My phone only has 32mb memory and I want to fit as many songs on as possible, I was hoping to reduce your average MP3 file (around 4000 mb) to around 1500 mb or below without sacrificing too much sound quality

Im also looking for a site with sony ericsson downloads on it so if anyone gives me a good free site I will also cred them!
