Personally i prefer opera. It takes abit of getting used to as the UI is abit different than other browsers but after a short time i can be made to fit your needs very easily.

Firefox is so much better. It isn't cluttered like Opera is, plus it doesn't lag a lot like Opera (and Netscape for that matter).

use this. it'll make FF go a lot faster. i think it's gonna make you rethink using opera.

Here's something for broadband people that will really speed Firefox up: 1.Type "about:config" into the address bar and hit return. Scroll down and look for the following entries: network.http.pipelining network.http.proxy.pipelining network.http.pipelining.maxrequests Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading. 2. Alter the entries as follows: Set "network.http.pipelining" to "true" Set "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true" Set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once. 3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0". This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives. If you're using a broadband connection you'll load pages MUCH faster now!

Well I'd have to say Firefox is alot better then opera. Its fast, secure enough. Why complicate your life with anything else plus the point is to go on internet and do whatever and this is the thing. Fast to install. Not complicated and just plainly rocks. Get FF.

lawl you can do the same thing with opera

    type opera:config

and I don't get why people think opera is cluttered, that toolbar on the left side mabye that comes up when you first open opera? you can easily turn it off click the far left side of the window, and the start bar in the addess bar? easily found in the preferences.

and opera lagging like netscape? i laugh I've installed it on everything from a pentium 3 running windows me to a brand new dell xps and the gui is always significantly faster and more responsove than firefox.

but Opera is a lesser resource hog than FX.

neither lag and netscape is based off the same engine as firefox

again opera is very resource efficient, uses in the neighborhood of 5-15mb of RAM depending on the enviroment. firefox uses between 10-300mb with the typical norm for me being about 150

I use Opera too,,really love it bcuz it saves the tabs but aslo because of the mouse handlings. Hold right click and click left to go back etc. ,, if you get used to it you can surf the internet so much faster and easier :D
Less moving your hand so less wasted energy lol
