I still listen to some rap. I think rap nowadays is pathetic, all they go on about is money, cars, and hoes. That's why so many people say 'Oh its not music, they just keep going on about the same damn thing' Before rap went to be nothing about ass shaking, money, hoes, and cars...It really was about the life of someone struggling to get out of the horrible life they lived. Between then and now, Rap is still music; it'll always be music as long as it as a beat behind it, and that words are spoken, regardless of the words spoken aren't what most agree with. I have other personal perceptions of such an article, but I wish not to speak of them. EDIT: After reading the article, its one of those 'WTF' comments. I found the article to be very discriminating, suddenly all people who sing Hip-Hop and Rap pimp out there rides, and have weird names. That's like saying all Rockers are emo, or all Pop singers can't sing -___-;;
IT actually isn't fair, because mostly everyone who posted in this topic was insulting rap and you got one person who said rock was stupid,and someone -repped him, thats retarded.
yeah i agree i like rap and rock i am not the biggest rock fan but im not like rock sucks or anything and just becuase one guys said his point of view which he feels he gets a negative rep
People that crap you hear on MTV is NOT rap. I myself listen to real rap, the underground stuff. That contains artists like Big L, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Canibus, MFDoom, Nas, crap theres so much more. None of the above artists rap about cars, moneys, hoes * Girls yes but not hoes *. Its poetry in the form of music. People who dont like rap really need to listen to the real stuff, thats like my basing punk/pop what ever on Fall out boy. Really, go listen to a song by any of the above artists I listed.
