There is absolutely no need for 4 gb of ram, that's just a complete waste and ram is very expensive right now, I bought 1 gig of ram last year for 60 bucks and now the same set is over 100. 2 GB will be fine for even the most hardcore gaming, and will run faster than a 4 gb kit (lower latencies ect..)

There are [many] more useful things to spend your money on then another 2gb of RAM.

Water cooling is expensive and fun and will do your high-end PC more good than more ram.

    I lol'd...
Anyway, if you can afford it you might aswell get 4 gigs. However, seeing as most games don't even utilize 2 gigs (or 1 gig for that matter) it's a waste of money. Also, quality > quantity. You're better of having 2 gigs of fast RAM than 4 gigs of slow RAM.

Sounds extremely pointless and wasteful unless you're trying to host an online game with thousands of users connecting to you.

Um, because the performance gain will be negligible or non-existant <_< ... Why waste a lot of money now, when you can buy the sticks in a year or so at half the price?
