I have major viruses on my other laptop and want to get rid of them, any suggestions on what to use.

Anyone who says norton should die, it's crap, don't do nothing.

Thanks for any people who post to help. ^_^

    hmm

fist you know the name of the virus?
if you do you can google on it and find programs that takes it away.

    good program list imo.

    nod32-virus program
    spyware docktor - spyware program
    spy bot S&D

thats the programs i use .

you can also do ctrl+alt+del and look for it in the prosses list, and if you search for it you can know were it is and fast as hell stop the program an delete it.
thats the way i do it

    any questions?

Avast / Nod-32 for Antivirus protection.

If your computer is extremely bad though I suggest a Clean Reboot, or complete Windows Reinstall.

For spyware, malware, etc. I suggest getting AdAware. It's great and convenient software and you can also use Spybot S&D while you are at it for added protection.

scan with those virus/spyware scanners and you should be fine, then lay off the porn and midnight wank for awhile until the viruses are gone

off topic: i can log in now :P

Yeah, I use Ad-Aware, it rarely misses anything. I'd suggest you use that, unless you're gonna reinstall windows, which would probably be better.

If your willing to back up data and drivers i'd just wipe it, but you can try downloading a free antivirus spyware scanner, for anti-virus I reccomend AVG free edition, Avast! home edition, or antivir, for anti spyware Ad-Aware SE Personal, and spybot search and destroy. when you scan you should do it in safe mode.
