Should I get 1GB mem or 2 GB mem? I'm a gamer and I also use photoshop while doing other stuff so multitasking. Will I feel a very obvious diff. btw 1gb and 2gb or only when I have like..photoshop and bf2 for example on at the same time while surfing internet? Thanks

For gaming alone I'd reccomend 2 GB of ram if you want top notch proformance, if you plan on running both PS and a game, I'd go with 2 GB if you want it to be smooth.

I only use 1GB. BUT if your going to use both them at the same time then 2GB is the most likely way to go.

with your needs lean towqards 2GB(atleast if you play FEAR, oblivion, or BF2)

well right now there is horrible price gouging going on in the industry...

if you want, you could buy one gig now, upgrade to 2GB and sell the 1GB set to someone after prices have moderated a bit.

or buy a single 1GB DIMM and get another of the exact same model later(make sure they don't change ICs) so you cna get dual channel

or you could go back in time and buy the same set for like 50$ less

example given the set i bought for 160 just went to 260...

2gb is needed, 1gb is comfortable for runing bf2, but 2 is needed for running photoshot at the same time! =]

some of the highest performance RAM(after overclocking, this set is highly UNDERRATED and it can run at much higher voltages, beware am2 and 965 chipsets though they default to 1.6V[shouldn't be an issue with these since they have such a low SPD but still]) at a somewhat acceptable cost

it's pointless, it requires 4 DIMMS which puts more stres on the MC than necessary and it doesn't really cost any less than 2GB
