Gimp

Well, how do I download GIMP? I go to the download page and click the newest version, then it takes me to a page with all these different program links... I don't know what to do next..? Can anybody help?

Download the GTK Runtime Environment (for WinXP) and install, and then actually Download GIMP and install it!

GIMP's orginally made for Linux, so there's some stuff you need to download, like the GTK RE... Don't worry about it though.

 

Okay, I downloaded a mirror and Gimp, but when I open Gimp from my documents but an error message comes up "invalid access" at all these numbers..?

 

Yea, erm.. I downloaded that, still shows that error message..

have u tried getting the free trial of Photoshop from adobe.com?

 

Gimp can also be downlaoded at www.download.com. Search it with the version.

 

When I click on the GTK Runtime Environment file and hit run to install it some error message keeps poping up..

If theres a way to keep making new accounts or w/e to keep getting free trails of PS I'd do that

 

you need to install GTK BEFORE you load gimp...

 

which files should i assasociate gimp with..im a noob at this kinda stuff

Well, back when I used GIMP, I only made it associate with whatever it said, like XCFs and such.

 

I hope this helps. If you are on Windows get Gimp shop. Its the same things and everything just differnt name and its easy to install.

If you are on linux just use adept or syanpitic. ^_^
