Im not a pro at all, but maybe you could try adding a levels layer, or sharpen it a bit?

    Hope it works ;)

    Easiest way:

New Layer < Image < Apply Image
Get your blur tool and blur your background.
Make sure it is not blurred too much, just lower the opacity to around 50% on your blur brush.

Now, you don't always want to blur everything.
Make sure you keep some good detail to add that pop.
You can also use your sharpen tool on areas you want to pop out.

When this is all done, you should have nice depth.

    Hope this helped.

Well, it depends on what do you need to adjust. If the colours are too week, add a selective colour layer. If you think it is going the right way but it has that bright look just try adding a gradient map at lumnosity. Tbh I usually don't have that problem because I use a lot of adjustment layers. I think that my current would be a great example, since I was just practicing Flow/Depth. If you want I can send you a PM with it. :)

Oh, and be sure to press Ctrl+Y before uplaoding the image to the internet, or it will come out brighter than it really is.

OMG you are fast. I will upload it in a while. :) By the way, you may have to look at it in a black bg or else it may be too dark. (It's on the bottom of the bar with all of the tools in. Keep in mind that gr is with a black skin so your sigs tend to look a bit brighter.) I'l pm you in... Dunno, 10 mins maybe.

Ps: Put the layers on normal at 100% opacity to see how I made them.
