so, i was thinking of purchasing a bike, and i looked at the prices at the local bike retailer.
it was around 500-600 for the cheaperst road bike,
    then i looked online,
about 100 for a decent medium quality ish bike

so i realized the only difference is the assembly of the bike
    so iwas then wondering
how hard issit? has any1 done it? any comments? or advice? which is better to get?
i'm just like normal person, no real mechanic skillz

so which do you guys think i shuld do?
    buy online and assemble
    or premade at a store?

Im quite a avid biker and im on my montain bike about 5 times aweek but i find it difficult fixing bikes. its a bit** some times and alot of things can go wrong with them.

It would be awsome buliding one though. shame I dont have the money.

I havnt seen my local bike shop selling disk brakes and also it might be hard getting/fitting a gear system

Building your own bike wouldn't be a problem if you knew what you were doing. But some parts need to be perfectly placed/threaded otherwise you may ruin them.

But if you take your time and learn how to do it, the only thing you would do is save money.

for a bycicle, the frame is gonna be the most expensive part. the rest really isnt hard, the crank and the gears will be the hard part. brakes are easy to set up. go to a bike center, and see what they can do for you.

its not to hard to do it if you know how to do it right.
a good tip is give a local biker like 35 bucks to put it together for you. sure it might be more money but its worth it. also make sure the person is trust worthy.
ask neighbors or friends if they know how to.
