Alrite guys, i pre-ordered Cabela's Big Game Hunter 2007 - Alaskan Adventure, and it ame today, since im using a shared computer my brother will be playing it too. I also own a PS2 and an Xbox, and he doesnt treat the discs with any respect, and they have got scratched and dirty, so i want to backup this game onto a disc for him to use. I used magic ISO to extract the ISO from the disc, then i burned it onto a DVD+R using the same software. The game boots up, and loads and everything, but when i click to create a new profile, it says "Please Insert CD", i dont know whats wrong, i have a cd in there, which is a backup from the original disc. Any Help? And before you say anything, i have payed for the game, and i have the original disc, i just dont want this disc to end up like my others. Thanks
i think u need to mount the ISO image ... Alcohol and Daemon Tools are excellent software packages that allow users to mount ISO files as virtual CD-ROMs .... run one of these programs and open/load the image
Chances are the game has a built in protecion system to the disk, so you need the original disk to atcually play the game. It would be possible to find a NO CD patch, but I do belive that that is illegal even if you bought the game.
Yes, i have tried mounting it with VirtualDrive, and Daemon Tools, but the error still comes up, anyone know what protection this has on it?
Thanks, there must be a way that my brother can play this game without the disc, im not letting him ghet hold of the original because hel ruin it like he has all his other games.
I'm not sure about the legal issues if you atcually paid for the game about a NO CD crack, but I'm not allowed to find one for you on GR. I dont know if theres anything you can do, just tell him not to ruin it, or purchase a disk cleaner.
yea i suppose, and this game only came out yesterday, thats why i pre ordered it and it came today, i cant be bothered to even look for a crack since it has only been out for a day. Im just scanning the files to see what protection it has, then hopefully i can sucessfully mount it with alcohol 120%.
If it has disc protection, it is highly unlikely that you'll be able to mount it. Preventing mounting and disc copying is the only reason the protection exists - and is what it is best at...
got it working lol, i mounted the .cue file with daemon tools,a nd it worked fine, no scratched discs lol Thanks for trying to help people.
