I'm not here to make money.. lol. I'm here to share my artwork, and learn from those who are more experienced than me. With the vast amount of members here, it doesnt surprise me that premium and donator memberships exist.. Without them, there would be nothing really different for 1. experienced members and 2. those wanting to learn.

I like this place, regardless of whether it has changed or not..

And all this 'Pro tag' crap makes me laugh.. So someone who is better at art made a tag.. Big deal, lol. It still doesnt mean that I will like it anymore than a tag made by someone new to photoshop/GIMP, does it? :P

Yes, that was my old account, until someone hacked it and changed my password. It no longer is mine, due to the fact it was stolen.

    Thank you.

back then the reason it was so cool, cause everyone sucked at design, so we were all even, al of us hung at the marketplace ect, it was cool, in a way everyone knew eachother, and people weren't dicks, ect. the rules did change the forum alot, but so did the people.

Yes, when I joined it was mainly because I wanted one of those amazing "sigs". I had no clue how to make them, I had just seen them when strolling around the internet.
So I found this little place, and read the rules that said "You need atleast 5 posts to request a sig."
So I thought, okey, fair enough. I made my 5 posts and requested the sig that I finally got.
But after that, something happened. I understood this was a nice, kind and warm place, so I stayed. I became more and more engaged in how to make sigs, and became better and better. I met new friends, and had a hell of a time I must say!

Then, saddenly, I had to take a vacation break from my new love GameRenders. When I left, "C4D" sigs was the whored thing, and everyone disliked it. Well, atleast a few.

When I later on get back, about 2-3 weeks later, something has changed. People are bitching at eachother, they spam topics with ignorant posts, and it's total chaos.
People now says "LOOK AT MY SIG ITS SEMI-PRO!", as it was a daily routine. I thought, maybe it's just a thing that will go off in some weeks, but no. It stayed. And it got worse and worse, until I (and many more) couldn't take it anymore.
I left GR for a while.
A few weeks passed, and I decided to come back.
And I cheered. The Global Mods had done an exeptional work in straighten things up, adding new rules, filtering out posts that was unneccisary, and all that kind of stuff. Still, they couldn't get rid of the Semi-Pro and other ratings stuff, but I guess it can't be done.

So, basicly, Global Mods, I LOVE YOU!

Damn that was my longest post ever.

    Couldn't agree more

No, but the old days of GR were much, much better. It will probably just go downhill from here. Let's hope not :\

All people seem to care about nowadays is whether they're pro or not. And to be honest, I don't really think anyone else cares. I sure don't.

personally i think (not just because im a mod)
but you guys are sometimes a lil harsh on what we do, we dont do it cause we like to be mean to you ... we do it cause its the rules ...if we dont enforce the rules then it would be total chaos

its not hard to follow them its simple
i mean how hard is it to
    not advertise
    dont spam
    not sell anything illegal
    and dont rip
    dont scam

i mean they are the main ones right ???
advertising is the main one we deal with more than anything
    and also people -reps
you will always have haters / flammers where ever you go on the net
that just makes our job harder to do for filtering them out

the mods do more than you can imagin .. you dont always see us post and having fun cos 9 times outta 10 we are dealing with these kinda problems all the time
with a forum like this there are about 5,000 posts a day made
ive known it to be up to 10,000 posts in 1 day

any mod you pm they will get back to you as soon as possible ..
all i want to really get across is that we cant catch EVERYTHING and for you guys to think befor you bash the moderators and think of these things

cos at the end of the day you might all think we are tight and no fun
but ... who do you go to to sort your problems out :)
