Okay, football for example. What are the chances ANYONE on this forum will go pro? This is a huge forum with probally 500-1000 football players. I'm sure some of you are fairly decent, but seriously I doubt any of us will go pro. (I'm not trying to brag) But I'm one of the highest ranked Tight Ends in my state, and I won't go pro. I couldn't go pro if I wanted, I MIGHT get some scholorship to some triple A school. Baseball, I'm also one of the highest ranked Catchers, there I have a better shot, but still a very slim one. Basketball, psh, I'm white. I may be decent, but hell, I suck compared to alot of people. Anyways, considering all that, how much should we push ourselves for sports? Should we put aside our school work for it? I do, even though I don't think I should. Football takes up so much time, and energy it's hard not to just focus on it. Some one, may get lucky enough to make it on a pro football team. Lets say for the sake of argument that I do. Was it worth it? Sure I'm making a lot of money. However my education is shot. What if I fell wrong on my knee and my career is over after the first game? I'm screwed. So, I believe sports should have its place in your life, but should not be your life. Whether or not I practice what I preach, is another story...but...I can't help it, I love the games!...:(

I have a 4.0 gpa, however I most certainly don't work for it. I live in VA, it's a hard state as well, alot of military from all over.

I won CIF last year in track and feild. I have a 4.3 GPA. School is BS it is completely biased and idotic information but it is so easy to get A's that I barely do any work and I get A's on all my test without studying. I play football as well.

I wouldn't mind if sports took over my life, it's so fun smashing into people, and running up and down with a basketball. Great excercise :)

No AP classes? That sucks. Football is the best. Yesterday I got 7 tackles, 2 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles. I love just hitting the person and feeling yoour helmet colliding with theres.

I'm the guy that pancakes you when you go after his running back. Which I do plenty often. :P Also, if you're a linebacker, which I'm assuming yes, maybe not, I'm also the guy that runs past you and catches the ball and runs for twenty yards for a TD. :P

How do you know, if you dont try genius.

Im pretty good at basketball, but I couldnt make senior team this year.

I know i wont go pro, cuz im not built for it. Im not incredibly tall and im only 120 lbs. I definately got speed, moves, and a sweet 3. They dont call me rain man for nothin :) but when i go back on D i cant hold my ground, too weak.
