Alright heres the 411, I've got to write a short science-fiction story roughly 3 pages by monday morning, and I am completely blank with ideas. I was wondering if any of you guys have had experience with science-fiction reports for school. Please help, I really need ideas. ;(
a scientist that devolpes some sort of liquid that causes people to believe in a false god, then god gets angry and has all of the fingers of the top followers cut off...... lol i dunno just work with me
^^Interesting.. How about the story of a distant planet that begins to slowly drift away from it's sun. In an effort to save the planet from being plunged into an eternal winter.........(perhaps you can take it from there)
its the future, and the sun is about to die. of course before it does, it expands large enough to swallow the 5 closets planets. you tell thr story of a family (as well as the rest of the world) that is driven to the underground to survive the final months of the solar system.
I was planning on using something like this in one of my stories, but feel free to use it. It's about how one person on a battle feild determines the outcome of the battle. Be it by divine or demonic powers, the sides could vary. Anyway, certain people near death or something similar can see spirits that link to the one person. The side you call good can say be an angel and vice versa. Anyway the people that can see these spirits try to help keep the one person alive. For if the one person dies then they loose that battle. the people that see them also see the two spirits on the battle feild fighting each other. so feel free to build on that.
how about a story about a crew traveling in space that have a fuel leak..... and they die.... make it a story about them having to cope with with dieing in space.... floating alone... @.@
You are heading to planet zarkon and it's the year 2347. The whole planet is shattered from the great war with zerknor, (who cares how it ended, imagine you all died or whatever. don't even mention it) and so no one really lives in there. All of the pepole have moved to another space, (no name yet, sorry) but for some reason you recived a letter from your leader to go there. You do, and he tells you that there is little hope to you and your world, because zerknor (they are your enemies) have found out that the whole planet has a substance called (Still working in a name) that makes extermley powerful BOOMS! (Ok, it is a extrmley rare and useful susbtance that is used for whatever you wish, how about it's a way to build better spaceships? You name it) if you know how to use it! (No wories he will tell you how) So, your leader tells you that they are planning (in secret) to quickly install themselfs in there, and your planets only hope is you... You must go back, spread the word, but what will happen? Who will manage to take control of the long forgotten zerknor? (You find a better name  ) Click here to find out! Oh wait... ^_^ I was joking a bit in some parts, but I think it kinda is a cool idea. I would write about it. My stories are always the most popular around school. (No really). I remember I once won a 'You make the story!' contest. The whole school was involved... I won a... Book! Wee-hee! But seriously gl with this man. It's a hard theme. Oh, I don't have the names yet, (as I said above if you read it =\) but gr is a big community and if someone wants to give it a shot don't be shy. ^^ edit: A little detail missing, is that now that there is no leader if you want you can be it. =)
WOW! Great idea's everyone, more people have replied to this topic than I would've thought. I will being to type out my story tomorrow, so KEEP 'EM COMING
Some mad scientest dude invents a supercomputer that turns into like a super-villain and starts hackin all computers lmao
Hey-O guys, I handed in my paper on monday, and I am still awaiting a grade. BTW, I used canvasch's idea with the space travel. +Cred to you man. THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO GAVE ME AN IDEA! YOU ALL HAD GREAT IDEAS!
Sci-fi is anything thats fictional, but still has possible theories, ie travelling at the speed of light.
