    Hello all,

I have a Knoppix 4.0.2 disc gathering dust on my shelf because it doesn't work properly by running it off of the cd drive (seeing as it's the live disc). I've looked up partitioning programs which have came back as broken links, failed projects, extremely expensive, and demos that don't do CRAP.

I've spent most of my afternoon googling and haven't happened to pass by ONE speck of freeware partitioning software.

So, my question is; where can I find freeware partitioning software?

    Thanks,
    -Veripare

which version of windows xp are you running, home or pro.

actually you can just pop your windows cd in there and partition with that.

It does actually partition. To make those "fake CD drives" it must partition the actual hd/cd drive. That is why sometimes you get errors for cd drive of you use daemon tools :P

There is a small demo of it, but it will be unfunctional - which isn't much use...

After much searching though ;) - I found the full version of Paragon's Partition Manager 2005.

It can be found from ComputerActive's website at:
    http://www.computeractive.co.uk/freedownloads2/index.

I suggest that if you get this though, you at least buy one edition of their magazine... ^_^ - The offer expires on October 4th.
