Video Editing

Ok
I need help with video editing for my english project

this weekend me and my friends will make a video around 5-6min on Hamlet by shakespeare

I will be using a Sony Mini DVD (cassette) to make the movie

Now I need someone to tell me the best program that I can use to edit the followign things in my video:
-Adding Voice Over
-Muting the original Sounds
-Adding a background Music
-Giving it an introduction (text (animated))
-Sharpening and Some nice effects

So anyone know any program that can help me do that
and how i would do that in that program?

anyhelp is really appriciated
if the program is really easy to do and learn (in 2days)
and that can help me in the future too

Final Cut Pro.

Used that plenty on the Macs at school for my Com-tech course.

 

will that work for pc?
