Fasting is bad for you, its the same as binging. Your body doesn't know when your next meal is, so it stores all the fat on you (making you look fatter in apperance). It's not a good way to loose weight, just eat healthier foods.

One of my best friends is Muslim and he was vomiting and getting stomach pains while he was fasting this week.

Some of my friends are Muslims on my football team. One got kicked off the team because he couldn't run more then two suicides. (you know, every five yards turn around and run back)

And he refused to drink water, so he got kicked off the team, and the other two just passed out. So, I would say it is not good for you to fast for a whole month.

If your friend is vomiting for fasting 1 day. a total of around 12 hours than he cant not fast cause he is ill, he must have some medical problems if he is doing that. Muslims dont fast for 30 days straight. We eat when the sun goes down. Make me look fat? That is why like 10 people have come up to me saying I look skinning as hell and I am a linebacker.

Dude...I had to carry one of them myself. We run alot, in practice. We measured it, and two practices ago we ran ten miles. I don't care if you're supernatural, you can't run that long, and not get dehydrated. We don't jog this, either. We sprint, and when we don't sprint we run an extra mile. So, please, don't act like your football is my football, we are a very serious school with very good chances of state this year. We have six defenders that are all state, and three offencers(lol, is that a word?) that are all american. Anyways, the point is they did pass out, and the one got kicked off the team. They, all three of them refused water.

During Ramadan if you are feeling dizzy or dehydrate than it is mandotry that you break your fast. Fasting isnt to strave you or make you sick. That is what my dad tells me everytime he takes me to pratice. Dont talk to me about your all american team. My school went to CIF championship so please do not think your team is some amazing team.

I fast normally, then again, I also eat when I'm hungry. It just depends on the day.

and doesn't the Koran say not to drink alcohol (with the exception of honey mead)?

sorry for mispelling the Koran...if I did.

oh, and I don't believe in that dating idea. you don't need sex to date. Although it is nice

    Yes that is true
this other day my brother had three tests and he was really stressedout
so my mom told him to break his fast and eat something before 10am (i think that time) and your fast wont be gone for waste.
If you feel dizzy or dehydrated or even sick then you should break your fast because then you will just become a bad example for us muslims.
see what he said is true
Fasting is really not there to make you die or hunger for food and water.
but it is something that you should do to thank God in a way
I still remember the stories that my grandmother and grandfather used to tell me and it was all based and somewhat connected to ramadan
so yes if you do believe then ther eis no stopping you to fast but if you are really feeling sick or being over exerted of work then yes you should break your fast and eat something before something happens to you

Im in the UK and Fasting, and i think its good for you cos during ramadhan your supposed to better yourself. Im cutting down on swearing (which is hard in college) :P Also it stops me from eating junk as i dont get time to do it. Also it stops the smokers :P they arnt allowed to do it so they may well quit during this time :P
