But arent the IBP one (first one default selected not the others) and the Alienware ones the same thing dude.. It says core 2 duo on it...

We are still talkin about This one right?
    http://www.alienware.com/Configurator_Page...ode=SKU-DEFAULT

    AW:
    Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T5500 1.66GHz 2MB Cache 667MHz FSB
    IBP:
    Intel® Core 2 Duo Mobile T5600 Dual-Core Processor (2x 1.83GHz/2MB Cache/667FSB)

Are the CPU's in the alienware one just special or something?..

on IPB it originally said Core Duo, as in Core 1 duo. After such I remove my recomendation from alienware.

EDIT: I see my error, they have the core 1 duops as upgrades from the core 2 duo... WTF... spending more money to get a lesser component... BULL----.

I currently use a Dell XPS 400 as a secondary PC. And it runs really smooth and fast, and can handle Vista and XP with ease.

I'd say so, jsut make sure you do the right stuff.

that was xelink, and he knows his stuff even mroe than me xP

    Get this:
    Processor: Intel® Core 2 Duo Mobile T5600 Dual-Core Processor (2x 1.83GHz/2MB Cache/667FSB)
    Free Game of course
Memory: 1024MB(512MB X2) DDR2-667 PC5300 [Notebook Memory] (idk if 30 bucks is good for just corsair. probly not but idk.) [make sure its ddr2-667!!!]
Hard Drive: 80 GB 5400rpm Serial-ATA-150 Super Slim Notebook Hard Drive
Mouse: Dont get one from here, order it from newegg if u want mx518 or g5, its cheaper :D (g5 is better)
Operating System: Up to you :D
    Total: $1,194.00

    Possible savings:
40gb default HD for 28 bucks less.

    Thats it. xD
if you are gaming or doin GFX, Memory must stay the same.

Free Shipping: ALL Notebooks and Selected Desktops with "FREE SHIPPING" tag (no min. required)

You missed the 5% by just a few days :( that would of helped quit a bit, 60 bucks about...
