Go to Computer Shopper or JandR.com to see if they have it..Newegg isn't the only one that may carry it, and you might find it much cheaper elsewhere..

x850XT is alot better than 1600, in my opinion. But it is your bucks, what ever suits you. If you dont have to wait like months, but like a week, then you should prolly wait for it. X850XT is a good solid GFX card that can run any game on the market. Most in the best settings, but games like Elder Scrolls: Oblivion will need a smaller settings, but it will run on the high settings too :P And it is a good price too!

    EDIT:

BTW, 1600 has only 12 pixelpipelines, where as x850XT has 16. So I would definetely wait for the x850XT. But if you could wait and get some bucks, and want some shiny Graphics, 7900GT and such high-end GFX cards will give you that. they have somthing like 24pixelpipelines. ( more = more power, more detailed )

    I dunno, do you?
no don't bother waiting for the x850xt to come back into stock not when the platium edition is cheaper. Honstely just go with that PE it is a better bang for you buck than the regular x850xt.

only $119.99 as opposed to $124.99 and it is in stock, I know it is not a huge saveings but you are getting a better card for cheaper. You can't beat that action.

Also NikkiLoveGod has a good point the 7900GT is a way better card than even the x850xt PE, but then again in order to get it you have to spend twice the money. I mean even the 7800GT is a better card but you won't be able to find a decent one for under $230.

Plus shorty already said that about $140 was the spending limit, so the X850xt PE is the obvious choice.

yeah if you were to get the x850xt PE you will be spending less money and gettting a better card.

No brainer if you ask me, plus you can buy it now.

Yea, Turkishgold is right on that. but the only thing that are changed in PE and the other, are the normal clockfrequencies. If they are offering a "better" card for cheaper, it normally means that it wont overclock even near to the same heights than the a bit expensive one. And its coolers might be a bit lousy compared to the a bit more expensive.

But thats for us who like to overclock and shiz, if you happy with default Go for the PE! hell.. go with it anyways, its not like you are loosing anything going with it!

    x850XT PE...

it's like an overclocked x850XT... 5$ cheaper too...

so yeh, x850XT is a better card for the $$ now that the x850XT vanilla went from 95 to 125... especially since it is cheaper/ more pwoerfull.

no shid it won't overclock as well, it is the HIGHEST x850 series card there is. it's liek expecting a 3.8GHz Pentium 4 to get to 4.8Hz because the 3.0could get to 4.0... percentage wise you will be disapointed, but the GPUs in the x850XTPE are still the highest Binned out there and should reach higher frequencies. also as far as i knwo the coolers used are more or less identical, most OEMs use ATi's reference cooler design. same goes for nVidia cards.
