Can anyone give me a link of a Video Converter? That i can download LEGALLY for free.....I downloaded a "file" but if i double click on it and say "Open With" "Windows Media Player" it will play the video...so basically, i just want that file to be a Windows Media Player file by default....without the video quality changing after i change the file type... :)

    Please and thank you!! :D

I would try to play it after installing the xp codec pack, and if that doesn't work try using VLC media player. If that doesn't work then I'm stumped

download Gspot http://www.headbands.com/gspot/ and it will tell what type of file it is you may just need a codec or you can use VLC player or media player classic to play the file

if u want it to automatically open up when you double click it try this...

right click file> properties > Its gonna say "Opens With:" click "change" and make it windows media player , then apply and click ok....then test it out

edit: you dont need to convert
