Well here is a little Ultimate Fighting recap for tonite Matt Hughes got his revenge on BJ Penn beating him by TKO in the third round because Penn gassed out.
Probably because ever since he lost to Penn a few years ago he has been training harder than ever before for the rematch. Also Penn came in on short notice because Hughes was supposed to figh Georges St. Pierre but he tore his groin they will fight but no date is scheduled.
I mean that it was just a random feeling; I didn't even watch the game. Also, I didn't even know when the match took place.
bj won the first 2 rounds and well in the third round he just couldnt get out and matt was pounding on his head. i had money on bj but i had a feeling matt would take it. oh well i think fight 3 should be a go to settle the tie
The truth is that Penn would have won if he trained cardio. He was definetley the better striker. And of course Penns Ju Jitsu destroyed Hughes. The Verastile attacks and agility of Penn overpassed Hughes. Although Hughes is one of my top 3 Favorite fighters, I didnt know if he could hold it. Pen could have won if he worked the armbar more the 2nd round. Swick is the new Number 1 Contender. He will be facing the winner of Franklin V Silva... Hopfully.
what other match results were there?... Hughes ftw. I hate penn... I knew Matt would get it in the end anyhow. Matts was recently named the number one fighter in his weightclass in the world at some site, I forget the name tho
