well u know i clicked general discussion and just noticed something at the top it sais

    General Discussion: Forum Guidelines
This forum is for discussion threads only. No spam threads are allowed in here, post them in Off-Topic instead!

yet there is a closed pinned thread by rene saying

"Off topic does not mean you are allowed to spam in this section.

If you are caught spamming continuously, you will be warned."

    bit hypocritical?

They are talking about SERIOUS spam, such as if you are posting every 30 seconds in every thread possible with random messages such as "lol ownZored" or something to that effect.

They just used Spam in two different ways ^_^

If it's spam in my opinion, I'll close it.

We all have different definitions of spam. Mine are just a bit more strict.
