theyre coming to install it in a couple of days. here are the specs. AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ Dual Core 1Gb DDR2 memory 320 Gb Hard drive SATA DVD/CD Burner Windows XP Home Edition 17" LCD Screen 5 peice speakers (1 sub, 4 smaller speakers) Integrated sound card new keyboard and mouse updated windows w/ word,excel,powerpoint...installed 1 year Kapersky anti virus subscription 1 year warranty delivered and installed: 1,250.00 without taxes I dont really remember all the specifications because i dont have the paper with me, and for the video/graphics card i dont remember, but i know its a cheap one because i wont be playing games. Ill use my computer to play/record guitar, listen to music, videos, msn, surf the net, photoshop.... so can anyone tell me if this is a pretty decent setup for the money, thanx. And by the way i know it would be cheaper to make it on my own but im not good enough, and thats why i am paying for the installation and everything. Its not because u could of built a better computer for the money that i can do the same, because i cant.
if your talking $1,400 in US dolar it's basically a rip I think I'll have 2 chech the cpu build your own off newegg.
desktop. and even if i do check of newegg. its u.s and ill have to build my computer, which i cant... i dont care paying for the service.. thats why i was interested in this computer.
worth about 900-950$ish in american including the full retail cost of the software. that's like what, 1000-1100 canadian, add in 100$ for price gouging due to it being in canada. They're charging you 200$ to open a case, screw in standoffs, screw in a motehrboard put in a few drives and some cards into slots, then conect the electrical conectors to everything and pop in a CD, and to change the waranties from lifetime, 5 year 3 year and 1 year to a mere 1 year waranty. If you make 100$ an hour go for it otherwise, DYI. also, it doesn't even have a sound card.
well if the only unfair part is chargiing 200$ dollars for the installation. then ims till buying it. these guys have service, and a noob like me need it. +theyre good friends from us, so i dont mind . and like im only gonna pay 500$, my mom is paying the rest.
still don't get a sound card with that though... thought your whole deal was music? onboard doesn't cut it with most audiophiles. save for what they had on NF2, but that was forever ago and is long gone...
i dont understand what ur saying... and for the sound card. He said it was integrated and it would be good enough. if it doesnt cut it for my needs, ill just buy a better one. and for the graphic card i remember it was someting like GeForce 6010 or wtvr. He said it wasnt very good but i dont need one anyways. Because i wont be gaming.
int sound is typically good enough for the average user as I said, you'de mentioned that you wanted the system primarily for music though so I though you'de have a potential concern. and the 'GFX card' GeForce 6100 is likely integrated. It can run basic things and will suffice for the likes of counterstrike 1.6 and cz but as was said don't expect much.
no offense, you got ripped... mine cost me $900 CAN but since the Tax is a pain it hit over $1000 but heres my happy specs: 3.2 GHz Intel Pent 4 1GB DDR2 RAM Bloody forgot HD -.- DVD-ROM DVD/CD writer Win XP Prof. 22" Screen 17" SCreen (yes 2 monitors) 4 speakers (1 sub, 3 speakers) 7.1 Surround Sound New Keyboard and Mouse All the micro progs installed 1 yr warranty 1 yr norton (I dont like norton -.-) GeForce PX 6600 GT ASUS Motherboard =]
yyha well amd athlon x2 4200+ is quite better than an intel pentium 4. And like i said, i cnat install evrything on my own, i need the service. so seriously im guessing its a pretty good price.
only thing good about littletorch's comp is the 6600gt, compared to the crappy video card you said that you're getting.
will i be able to buy a better video card. and replace the other one? because maybe i will be playing oblivion. and i know the geforce 6000 is not good enough.
