Ok... First off, Opera messed up on me, all my tabs deleted... ok... that wasn't that hard.. Then i shut down my computer. Next day I flick it on, I see an error before the windows splash, saying: Code: Boot.ini not found starting from c:/windows WTF? It starts up, then it freezes, when its trying to bring the firewall up. So I very quickly looked up 'boot.ini' to no avail... so I was running a sata hdd, i decided to put in a new instance of windows up to a iede drive, it took it, loaded, then i turned off the computer to go to work. Came home. I'm on my old sata drive's windows, working fine and dandy. Figure that one out...
this has happened to me before. u get a bad sector in your hard drive and ur boot.ini file gets corrupt. this is called the unmountable boot volume error. i dont know too much about it, but this is wat i know.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . That's the only way I can describe how I feel after reading that.
omg, get ontopic again dudes.. your boot.ini is probably corrupted/damaged. Try this http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...kb;en-us;330184
your hd is corrupted and you need a new one.. also why are you trying to find boot.ini WHEN IT ALREADY SAID NOT FOUND!
LittleTorch, relax.. It's just that partition that its bad in, and the fact that my boot.ini file corrupted, not the whole drive. I have 20gb partition and another 140gb partition. I now have windows on a 40gb iede drive.
