Lol, very nice. You should make another page have the start menu bar.. But you'd have to make it yourself not screenshot. (illegal)

If I knew Flash Id probably make a loading screen. But I dont know any flash so I have to do this all in beginners HTML. My coding is all tables. And only looks good in FF, its crap in IE. :(

Good idea, though. I just suck too much for it to work. Unless.. I could have it a .GIF that loads, and then after 10 seconds or something the page auto redirects to the thing Ive shown. And after those 10 seconds the loading bar will be done. That would be kinda cool. :P

    I might try it. :)

If anyone knows HTML and could help that would be awesome. :P

Ive coded it, it doesn't work well in IE, though, because I use align=right and align=left, which for some reason IE doesnt like. IE also puts about 3 pixels inbetween every image, so its really hard to make something look good in IE and FF. Oh yeah, and IE doesn't support javascript redirecting.. :(

    I have two questions:
    1. I tried remove the align=XX from the <img tags, and instead of using <div align=left>img</div>, but that didnt help at all. Whats the best way to align something to the left or right and have it look good in IE?
    2. As you can see on the login screen page, the very bottom is just lots of blueness. I want it to be that the two dark blue parts are aligned the top and bottom, and then the center part (with all the content and stuff) is vertically aligned between the dark blue bits. How do I align an image to the top or bottom of the page? Also, how do I vertically align something to the middle of the page?

Thanks to anybody who can help. :D :D :D

yeh, those tables are not going to work to well. try using layers instead. It will fix a lot of the problems that you are having. Also, get rid of that message when you exit the page. It makes it really unprofessional. Kinda seems like you just copied and pasted a code that you thought would be cool.

The idea is definetly a great one. Good job.\

About the task bar idea, I have some ideas on how that could work. My first idea is to use flash. You have already said that you don't know flash so i will throw out that posibility. My other idea is using Javascript. There are some ways that i could think of that might be able to manipulate some of the features in the task bar. Such as the startmenu. Obviously it will look slightly different then the standard start menu, but it can be done.

I am surprised that microsoft never thought of using something like this on their site for windows. Great idea, and excelent work. Good luck.

I was playing around with the onmouseclick thing, I guess I forgot to remove it. :s I find it very annoying, nevermind unprofessional. :P

haha, reminds me of my early days of website-ing. I used to make pages on expages.com haha free single page sites. I filled it up with javascripts, flashing .gif's, marquees, and obnoxious CSS code. Oh it was great.

My first website (like 5 yrs ago or something) was basically just two frames, one with links to random crap and the other with images. Lots of them. My background was very busy, too. The worst part is I used a frame on the left and one on the right. Thats horrible. >.<

i suggest that you don't use image ready slices like that. You could, and it would work, but not as effectively as using all CSS. If you look at my site (bubbledesigns.com) and view source, you will see all the css for the layers. I put everything in a layer and that way it can't get screwed up by using a different browser that will interpret a table differently. Tables also take a lot of time to load. Layers are a lot quicker in loading and in the long run just better to use. Right now, my project for my site is getting the <? php include=" filename.php " ?> to work. I am trying to make my navigation have it's own page so that I don't have to update every page when I change a link on the navigation. For some reason, it keeps mis aligning it and making my other layers disapear when I use it. I am not sure why though.

If I were to sell this, what do you think it would go for? Im thinking of making myself a better portfolio, so Id end up selling this. But I dont want to sell if it wouldnt go for much.

Oh and it would include the login screen, except not the Yoshi. Thats mine. :P

If I sell it Id recode it, the coding there sucks. Im better with CSS so I could do it much better. Also Id make the links text. I dont like them as images. And use more spacer.gif cause you only load it once, instead of lots of pure blue images.

I like that lots 9/10 could think of something to do with making the text space bigger though
