Seriously this ---- is so overdone.. the "play by play" commentary sounds so ----ing stupid. How they raise there voices and talk all fast when somebody gets shot, it sounds so god damn stupid and nerdy. This brings a new definition to "nerds"
hmm i dont think people really care about your negativiy whe you have a link to some cs forum and you call us nerds ? i could own you in paintball or atv and yeah so what if i cant do tricks on a bmx ? do i get a negative rep for that ? So if you would please just stop posting your negative comments i would really appreciate it and if not well there is always the red down arrow button on your profile
These players are the best of the best, they play the game, and they are fricken good at it. Give them some respect please...
Lol to what boxiom said though you must admit its funny the way they do there play by plays Lol but ill respect them for having a great amount of skill at a game....but i still think its wierd that the take a game so seriously
sports are games too right? many people take professional sports very seriously, often so seriously that they bet large amount of money on matches. these players here are the world's best players, it wasnt a matter of playing those games for a couple months, then joining pgt/wcg/wgt tournies. these players have been playing since the games first came out. for starcraft, thats over 9 years. its not something they take lightly at all.
i was watching a pro gaming event on Direct tv last week.... it was kinda good i guess.. i haven't watching the posted videos yet.. i will in like 10 minutes............. pro gaming is very interesting, and i would really love to get into it .... any ideas how to do this? hehe
Theres different ways, for the different games... For Starcraft, it is VERY hard, you have to be extremely skilled, top of the ladders, and try out in a Courage Tournament which happens once a month. The winner of the Courage Tournament is the considered professional (3-4 winners). And may join a professional team. If you want to watch a documentary on pro gaming (starcraft) then you may want to see this thread: http://www.gamerenders.com/forum/index.php...&hl=documentary About time someone else realizes Starcraft and actually knows about some leagues etc... For those who have not known yet, Computer Gaming, in certian countries such as Cuba, Chile, Korea, Sweden, and a few others, have officialy recognized it as a sport. They even have debated about putting computer gaming in the Olympics. Those who are into these sports (AKA: eSports) actually undergo even more practice than most football/soccer professionals. ~10 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year of practice is actually quite normal for someone who is either professional, or training hard to become professional. There have been some people who have gone on ~50 hour marathons of training. Trust me, this is not easy, it's not like "oh I'ma sit down, and chill and play a few games here and there" When they are playing, they are playing so in a state so intense, they have ended up getting tendonitus (spelling?) and other diseases that follow mad playing (like arthoritus from a pitcher in baseball etc...) Of course people in America, do not realize how intense and hard it is to play video games at a competitive level. There are millions of people in America who play games games, such as almost every teenage guy has atleast played halo once or twice. Imagine playing it 10 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year. Then imagine still being destroyed horrifically by people 10x better than you. That person who still beats you, is still not good enough to play at a competive level, and win tournaments and such. You have to be TRUELY good at it. It's something you can't just pic up and play for fun. You have to play, live, and sleep that game/sport to be truely a god at it. And that's what these people do. They are insanely good at what they do...
i never have been beaten in soul calibur 3 or tekken 5... i use hwang and ivy in soul calibur 3 and lei and steve fox on tekken 5.... i have played some very good people........... and have never lost.... i think i would have a chance playing at least these two games competetivley........ i'm search and see if there are any tournaments going on for either
