From my experience, Norton is big memory hogger. My memory indicator showed me it taken up 100b of RAM. ZoneAlarm is a bit too sensitive at times. But better go with ZA than Norton.

i've used ZA at times but i'm not happy with it

i installed it once and it worked fine for the day, then the next day i tried to use the net, it wouldn't connect, i tried everything even System restore to see if it was something i did, then i disabled ZA and the net worked fine

i don't reccomend ZA, sometimes it has some wacky settings

Use neither. Go buy PC-cillin and/or Spysweeper from your local Best Buy. If you don't have that option, then use Norton. I've had success with Norton in the past, Zone Alarm just seems to mess things up for me.

    Let's kill Norton, shall we?

Zone Alarm is a firewall, not so much a virus scanner.

I use Avast, and it stands pretty tuff to viruses, especially ones on a webpage.

I also have used Nod32 in the past, and it was pretty good.

I have also used Sygate, until Symantec bought them out, now it's no longer free... Still good, though..

I recommend AntiVir Guard. It is safe, updates everyday, it is very light and saves pc performance and it is free.

Well, I used Kapserky and Outpost Firewall. Norton..I have the cd, but not the serial number, lol. Zone Alarm..I heard that one actually spies on you subtly and calls the house sometimes.
