Norton is HORRIBLE, trust me your computer will run twice as fast without itzonealrm is ok, but I am not a fan of that either, for antivirus I would reccomend AVG, Avast! or Antivir, and for a firewall, Kerio Personal Firewall

My computer with Norton has become just a little bit slower, but I never had a problem with viruses.

Yes But there are free programs Like the ones listed above that do just as good as norton, and are much more lightweight.

Personally, I prefer ZoneAlarm. If you can stand up to the fact that it asks you about it every time something happens on your computer, you want to use that.

Norton is fine, but tends to be a bit buggy - things often don't work like they should.

Also, the ZA firewall is the best. By quite a long way. Full stop.

I use norton and I haven;t noticed any difference in my computer speed. Other then "your computer will run twice as fast without itzonealrm is ok" do you have any other points to why i should swich to AVG, Avast! or Antivir ?

Norton Expired  so i need to go buy their new version or go with a different anti-viruse so am curious if any other programs are really better.

I don't think you should have two anti-virus programs. Anything is better than Norton imo. So, go with ZoneAlarm.

I have Norton and I'm very happy with it. It's efficient, it's not heavy on my computer, hasn't missed anything, isn't intimidating like someone mentioned screens pop up, active in the updates. I would recommend it.

I've never been one to get virus'.. At all. o.o But.. I do get adware/spyware from some webpages, for that.. I use Adaware to seek 'em out, and just remove them from my computer completely. I'd say ZoneAlarm if I had to pick.

Norton is the worst crap dude, it can't detect like 20% of the most popular trojans and other viruses. If you a an almighty pirate or pay $50 for zone alarms security suite its an awesome program because when a virus trys to install multiple viruses you can click to "deny" that process from launching.
