hey guys i am doing a report on charls darwin and need things like video in it i came across this stream http://video.pbs.org:8080/ramgen/evolution...ents/e_s_2.smil it will play in real player but i need it saved on my comp as a wma or windows media supported program as the school computers only have window midea player i have tried recording the steam but it only comes up as a rl file, then once i tried to convert (using several programs) their is only sound, or nothing or its all scrabbled so in short if someone could plz show, or make this stream a wma i would really appreciate it and offer all my current creds to show my gratitude thx grechy Merged Post: even a program that will record the happenings of my comp will be good as then i can play the movie n have that recording behind it? thier is no issue with copyright guys its not copyrighted
Get the trial version of Camtasia Studio, and use that to record what you see. www.techsmith.com Edit: Note that to just record the screen, you'll have to disable hardware acceleration on your graphics card. This will slow your computer down quite a bit.

you can try to hold a digital camera near the screen and play the video, taping it on the digital camera and then uploading that ,i did that once, it didn't come out too bad
