Punks are people who always go against the grain, always want to stand out and be noticed. The original punks used to wear proper school uniforms to schools where people would normally bend the dress code just so they were unique, even though it seems like they were actually being normal.

Goths are intellectual, slightly moody people. I'm kinda goth. Contrary to popular belief, we don't actually LIKE being alone 24/7, but it's nice to get some time to think sometimes. Really though goths are quite sociable.

Emos are the kinda trendwhores of today. They wear skinny jeans, thick rimmed glasses, have floppy fringes and write poetry. Mostly. People generally stereotype emos as all depressed whiney buggers, though actually not all emos are suicidal. Most suicidal emos don't actually want to take their lives, they just want some more attention because people don't give them enough.

    Good enough?

Edit: Quick add-on, lots of people lump punks emos and goths into the same category because they all listen to kinda rocky music, though it's actually very different. Punks listen to...well punk, and hardcore and whatnot, goths listen to heavyer stuff usually and emos listen to... emocore/screamo/poppy stuff.
