Windows Vista RC1 has been released, get it here.

Also, Microsoft has partnered with Akamai Technologies to provide you with a java download manager, so no more leaving your computer on for days and days just to download it.

You can download it and install it without having to have a previous version of Vista. To upgrade from Beta 2 follow these instructions.

probably a half gig of ram an OK graphics card and an OK processor.

most systems within 2 years of age qualify.

    bare min=
    half gig of ram(512mb)
    P4 @2GHz; celeron at 2.5; Athlon XP 2000+; duron 2500+; any athlon 64 core 2 pentium D etc.
GeForce 4400 and higher(bare min) or Radeon 9 series card and up
decent amount of harddrive space(few gigs, this shouldn't be an issue)

its a release candiate so it is very stable.

For a serial you can use your BETA 2 key, or wait another week to be able to get a new serial. Or just find a key and ring microsoft to activate it as they will give you your own new and unique key.

I'm so poor I always crash my PC and money's been going into repair.

    Yeah , half a gig ram (not even DDR2 compatible) , GeForce4400MX AGP ( my mobo suck and doesn't have pci-e slot) , 80GB SATA-I. Should I test out? I'm using Windows Vista's skin anyway. My CPU has 2 processor , 3.00GHz and 2.99 GHz..SP2.
