My second somewhat css layout, just to brush up my css skills a bit. Did fairly well on the coding part altough im sure a lot of it is wrong The design is moderate, just needed something to code. Clicky
Its called css: http://hamtarox.ha.funpic.de/css2/style.css if you meant strange as in strange for css. explain
look alright to me except you use some bad HTML that's not allowed in XHTML the only other thing I can see that makes it look wierd is that you add spaces between your text holders and the text yet no spaces between the actual DIVs, in the code I mean
code has a few unimportant errors with the divs but otherwise it is all good. I don't really like the design tho.
Hehe yeah, in photoshop it looks great, mainly i needed something to code so half of the things arent actually there where in photoshop they are
ok, put your site through the trust W3C validator and, of course, there are tons of errors so first off, you can see it for yourself: http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&ur...ic.de%2Fcss2%2F ok first off, replace all of your <div align="center"> tags with <div style="text-align: center;"> that way it's XHTML valid. Another thing, you gotta close every tag that doesn't require a closer (IE, , , ect..) with a foreward slash infront of the last >. So ">" becomes " />". If you basically apply these rules to your code, it'll be fine
Thanks for the help, ill try to keep it valid on my third try but nevertheless okay for 1.5hours css tops (loving css xD)
yes, CSS is something to love if you're truly interested in it, try reading some articles from http://alistapart.com it is led by jeffery zeldman, which practically created the concept of web-design
hello =| i haven't been here since...well i actually don't remember :\ anyways.. one more tip: when u have boxes like the "content" ones, wich u have to repeat, don't use "ID", use "class" instead (in the .css file use ".content" instead of "#content", because u can't repeat an ID (wich is already declared) and a class it's for multiple uses in one page cheers.
may I also add that it is a good idea to add background properties other then the image link, these are just incase an image fails to load or something.
