Eqdkp

I just installed eqdkp on my site and everytime i try to acces my configuration panel i get

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /eqdkp/admin/config.php on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

My server is run on linux and I have all the MySQL setup... If you can tell me how to fix this you will get credited

 

hmm try resetting the permission on your config.php file

im not sure if its the same but on forum files etc. the config.php file asks you to edit it before you upload with all your details etc. try doin that if it applies to you

 

There was something said about some servers not allowing access to those files on the web like that, but there was a file or code you can add to it so you can.... I just need to figure out what it is, or if there is something else i can do

 

Make sure you've chmodded the file to 755 (change it back to whatever it was after).

 

i changed the chmod to 755 and still nothing..

 

Make sure the file is there in FTP.

 

chmod the folder its contained in, its not letting u in, which would explain the access error, and because it cant get it, it cant find the file, which would explain the 404 error

i have chmodded it =/ still the same error

 

Re-upload the file from your harddrive, to the server.

 

i have reinstalled like 5 times.... tried all the chmod, cant get it to work... someone said something about a script i need to put in so my server will read it, since its a secure file they said the server wouldnt open for security reasons... but idk

 

Maybe the config file is configed wrong? Open it in notepad/dreamweaver...

put that .htaccess file into your \eqdkp\ folder on the server and it should work. If not then.... ill try and find another option

 

looks like this is what i need, when i get home i will upload it and see if it is what i need.. ^_^
