My State/school Royally Raped Me...

As of this year, Im in 10th grade(15&9 months old..), these are changing/being added:
-Permit is now kept for 12 months, not 6.
-10th and 11th now have to do projects, and then the 12th grade one is still goin on, one each year.
-No homeroom next year, that way we get 6 extra minutes of learning in the morning, hooray.
-We get raped by the janitors.
-36-48 page portfolio done for senior year, get I think 12 pages to add 10th, 11th, and 12th grade. This is on top of the normal ones we do for most/all classes.

My sister is now a senior, so she gets to rub it in my face that she gets 0 things crappy for her.. gahhz

I Know exactly what you mean. They did the same down here in chariho, but not AS bad. We have this portfolio we need to complete and school just got 20 minutes longer.

If I was one grade ahead, I wouldn't need to do it, but I do.

The thing is, its really not helping jack ----, this portfolio. The unmotivated kids who used to not do anything still don't do anything. The only thing they do now that they didn't do before is complain how they arnt going to graduate. Just more work for the kids who are trying to do good.

Luckily our janitors don't rape us :tongue:

year the portfolio thing is a time waster, i get my ---- done but I learn zip from doin those..its a waste of time and effort...

 

Did you at least get a reach-around?

Some lube perhaps?

 

Permits have to be held for nine months for me. , you have to be 16 and three months to get your liscense...

you have to be 16 to get a permit. and you need your permit for 6 months for licence. massachusetts blows.

 

Graduation projects suck but most states require them and have had them in since 2000. Your state is late.

The portfolio is a good thing you can submit that to college applications and jobs with your resume.
