I think people should be able to give suggestions. Still, you're right. Still, be sure you actually know what you're talking about. At a forum I used to go to, they hada rule that you give at least one suggestions to a person's art. Problem was, it was hand drawn art. I didn't know what I was talking about, so I didn't give a suggestion. I do believe I got warned for that. I then left the place. :\
I agree with you 100% UV. Art, wether it be done by hand or computer, is a gift no matter what. Not everyone was perfect at everything, so putting people down is just out of line. I'm sure everyone here have had problems in the past with designing, so think about it. It's just practive, no need to make fun of, or mock other people for their designs. Criticism is good until a point, like saying.. you could do this this and this and maybe it would look cooler - thats fine, but people saying something like, "This is terrible. Remake. Redo. Start. Blah blah blah" is out of the line. Hopefully alot of the people in the community read your post and maybe try and be a little kinder to their fellow GR members.
i personally embrace any and all constructive criticism. but if someone just says "you suck, stop trying" then that is totally useless and wrong.
Honestly though, if the person keeps asking for feed, you give them feed, and then they keep making sigs with the same thing you told them not to do or something, and they don't listen to feed... it becomes annoying.
