ok well I'm on a different account on my comp because mine has been attacked or somethign by spyware. when I click remove on my spyware protection it says I have to restart comp to finish and when I restart and login its still there. also tons of ie windows open with advertising and then it freezes. now as I'm typing a new tab will open to some advertising and I'm real scared something bad will happen. if anyone thinks they can help me fix this (I'm stupid with this stuff so they'd have to be real good I will make u a tag fr and give u some credits, I really need this help. I don't even have enough time to open my folders to get all my sigs and stuff onto this comp :'(

Download Ewido, make sure it's fully updated. Also downloaded Ad-Aware and make sure it's fully updated. Then, start in safe mode. (Restart computer and tap F8 as it's booting up.) then once in safe mode run both programs. Sould remove them, hopefully!

Easiest and fastest way would to be reformat. You probably could still go through alot of crap to get it off at your current state but reformating is what I would do. Although your a signature maker with alot psds probably would need to backthose up.

But first try Downloading Ad-Aware SE Personal then booting up in safe mode and the run it.

thnx dgr, but how can I get them to delete the stuff on my other "user" so I can be on my account for this comp? I'm fine with having a new account and all but I don't want all my psd's and music.

    Also, running XP?

    Then try a System Restore.

    Start>All Programs>Accesories>System Tools>System Restore.

Restore to a date before it occured, you may lose some files created during the time though, so be careful about that!

    Good luck.

Aslong as its all on the same copy of XP, then it should do yes. :)

P.S, if you do the SR and it solves the problem, download Ewido And ad-aware as I mentioned earlier and scan in safe mode. To reduce the risk of any chance it may happen again! :D

Get Hijack this, do a scan, then post the results at a PC Help forum, that is how I fixed it when stuff like this happens.
