Lan/ethernet Not Being Recognised

    Ok,I installed TinyXP,(its a cleaned up version of XP meant for gaming).
    And my HP motherboard Ethernet port is not being recognised and i connot connect to internet.
    I Tryed installing the drivers but it gives me a string blah blah blah missing and it stop installation.
    Help please. :wacko:

    Are you sure you have the latest drivers? Did they work when you had normal windows installed?

    I downloaded the drivers from the HP website and i just installed this windows after from using the factory windows

    It's quite possible that the TinyXP is doing it, because of a stripped feature. If you don't get an error, try Start>Run>Services.msc, and look for anything that might effect your connection to the internet.

    THis si what I get when i try to install drivers.

    that's because Tiny XP has dirt poor DHCP support

    He can't do anything about it. Like we've all said, it's stripped out to the bone, therefore, some of the components won't work, you just got unlucky and happened to need one stripped out.

    pretty much.

    from what i know, people just use stripped out versions when they are either trying to run/win some kind of benchmark or when they are trying to squeeze some more life out fo a VERY old system.

    try corperate llite edition.
