Since when are you recommanding AMD xelink? :P
Can we use newegg to select parts Mini? And are you also going to overclock or not?if not, you can save money for parts. Is 800 the real limit or can it be a little higher :P ? lol.

I'll try to made a C2D build, gimmi a few secs.

    @ Compulkid; 'r u sure that the x1900GT beats x1800XT?

    Processor

    $152.00

    Mobo

This is the one I have and it has plenty of OC'ing features, it is nForce4 but there is only a small difference between nForce5 and nForce 4, so dont worry about it. Nice stable board, just make sure after you hook it up that you get all the latest BIOs and Drivers and everything will be fine.
    $72.99

    Video Card:

    $149.99

    Ram:

    $199.99

    HD:

    $69.99

    OD:

    $28.99

    Case
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16811129155
    $89.99

    Total
    $763.94

Plus theres about $50 worth of rebates in there
If you want to spend an additional ~$120 on a video card
get a smaller HD save 20, keep your current case, get a higher watt PSU around 60-70 then buy a single core amd for $112, plus that 40 left over to keep you under 800

patriot LLK overclocks better than that OCz and is cheaper. look at the reviews...

and yes, the x1900GT beats the x1800XT pre overclocking... hey, who knows how to push the find mem clock and find core clock buttons on overclocking utilities? unless your'e beta testing folding at home there is no real reason to get the 1900 GT.
if you really wanted an x1900, you would get this
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16814142063
    but it's out of stock....

the power powersupply you chose is also crap, low quality. won't be getting stable voltage out of that... makes Dell PSUs look great...

    Antec TPII 550W

didn't add up the cost but ti should be within range...

and the reason i recomend AMD here is because the platform on the whole is still cheaper... you have to spend way more for a conroe system then you'de think... motheboards are still expensive and quirky as well.

I don't know if this guy plans to oc or not, if he is going to than the x1800 is great, but if not than he might as well buy a better vc.

But I still do recommend the ePox mobo over the Biostar because the biostar wont push past 287 mhz bus and the ePox will.

Then again I don't know if he is going to oc or not. Even though it is extremely simple nowadays.

I'd have recomended that epox board as well... just ne small problem, out of stock...

and beside 280HTT is enough for 2.8GHz that's sufficient.
