WoW has better support, addons, PvP, RP, graphics, gameplay, control system and just overall better. Me, my friend and his dad have played both and like WoW 20 times more.
GW are horrible, the PvP just isn't up to par on WoW and the gameplay was horrible. WoW lasts longer and is more opened. What GW has going for it is that it's free to play and thats it.
Ok, First off anyone that has said that Guild wars has even a possibly decent PvP system is on some incredibly horrible narcotics, Secondly World of Warcraft is by far the greatest Mmorpg out there none of the others even come close, Anyone who says otherwise is like I said before on some incredibly horrible narcotics.
i play GW and WoW , BUT ! what gw lacks in RP, it makes up for in PvP , a constant tournament, between 2 continents and 3 countires Europe-America-japan-korea and taiwan- at least in GW you are actually figghting for something .. your fighting for the favour of the gods !!!!!!!... your also fighting for access to the Under World and the Fissure of Woe , which helps a hell of alot of people !
as been reading this i o have to say guild wars yeah most of u say that WOW pwns all and that ive owned guild wars since release and now both current expansions ive tried the 14 day trial of WoW and i just cant get myself to pay for something that is jsut the same as another sure WoW MMORPG but GW is more about 'guilds' and 'teams' mroe than im going to go on a raid because i need to power level to be good... to really decide which is better u cant play either u have to pick one and go with it..trust me either way you go ull think the other way is gay
i can now say that i have officialy quit guildwars lol ... GUILDWARS WAS NERFED TO HELL , i now play WoW full time ..
If your talking about improved mob AI where the run in tight spots and aoes you are just wow. If anything this has IMPROVED the game. Don't know what else you could be talking about. Anyways Guildwars gets my vote. I hardly PVP and I've been playing since launch and still am not bored of it. Factions was lacking but man Nightfall made up for it. Amazing new Hero/Henchmen controls, great story, great graphics. The only thing that truely lacks in Guildwars in the item system but even then makes it evenly matched and about skill and not "omgzorzz dood I bought this x super uber rare item on ebay for 50000 dollarz me pwn you now " I play WoW too and its a great game. Though the graphics annoy the hell out of me. Its just so cartoonyish and ugly compared to games I play like Guildwars and Everquest2. Guildwars is easy enough to play by yourself where you still have fun, and with friends its amazingly fun. When I go on WoW alone I feel like its a chore its getting boring and makes me want to log off. Felt like I had to keep grinding and sitting in one spot for X ammount of time to catch up to anyone or get something to start making the game fun. For me Guildwars was fun from the beginning and when I don't have friends to play with I grab henchmen and do what ever mission or what ever Im doing. In WoW it was like " Go get X item so you can be on par or you fail at life! Go raid blah blah "
Wow Hands down. Wow is awesome. Gw has a horrible lvl cap and you can only have 8 spells in GW? WTF is that?
GW defenatly gets my vote. Graphics are much better and the PvP too. (Yes I played pvp at a friends place on WoW) Unless you go to random arenas... you get frustrated there, too many noobs. I dislike PvE so no point in me playing WoW since its mostly about PvE and getting best equipment. In GW skill matters more. And being creative with builds. I love the 8 skill system cause you need to think about alot of different things when you select them. What do you mean with nerfed to hell? If your talking about the skill nerfs thats a good thing cause to many skills were overpowered. Atleast if you look to the PvP part, maybe PvE players won't like the nerfs but it's best for PvP. I totally agree with Yondaime btw.
