My sentiments exactly.

 

Pearl harbor was a preimptive strike against the United States, which drove the US to join in the war.

 

A holiday would be kind of ludicrous don't you think? Look at how all of the others are spent. blockedistmas is happy, Thanksgiving is happy, why would you have one that would remind you of a terrible thing that happened?

 

veterans day and memorial day arnt happy.. holidays arnt just for celbrations some are for remebrance. like um isnt there day of the dead or something were ppl remeber ppl tht passed away.like our halloween

 

Well pretty much everyone has made a good point, but either way it won't be happening for quite some while before there is actually a holiday dedicated to anything that happens in the present day.

Yea guys lets celebrate the day when 2000 of are civilans died! Yea! Lets remeber the day that are idiotic goverment was attacked by a terroirst group! Lets remeber the humliation!

 

not every act of terrorism killed 2000 innocent lives and started a war

That was a stupid and uncalled for statement, and if anything, with Mr. Bush's amazing patriotism, don't you think you'd have one by now?

Anyways, no, I find the idea stupid.

A ) I won't get it off because i live in Canada

B ) No one would actually mourn during the day if they had it off. They'd sit at home getting drunk and toking ganja like no tomorrow.

have we ever had a national holiday, that memorialized the people who died on the same day, that commemorates that same date? not yet? i dont we're gonna start soon. do we have a national holiday on the day the holocaust started? that was an act of terrorism that contributed to wwii. yes, the holocaust was terrorism.
