At my school, we have this program called Enrichments. I've signed up to do computer building and will be building i believe in october to november-ish. My question now is...should I build a computer now or later? Is it more economical to wait until Vista, dx10, and its vid cards come along next year? The latest I would want to wait to build a computer if i had to wait would be february or march. My budget would be around $1500-2000. I also want to keep costs down as much as possible so would buying the hardware available now be better than waiting for the new hardware to come in? Any comments or suggestions are appreciated

If you have the patience, then yes. Otherwise, it wouldn't be that big of a problem to upgrade considering your budget.

Yes I would say wait, cause when the newer technoligies come out the current ones will drop in price. Generally over time the prices will drop, although I've read today that DDR RAm has gone up 3% since July and DDR2 has gone up 6% since July

wel, right now ram prices are on the rise due to a shortage of materials used to make ram... my advice is to wait it out.
