run everything through the linksys router instead of the 2wire.

Hold the reset button on the back of the linksys till the lights flash and the router reboots. This will set it back to factory defaults.

Plug your computer into it, and open your web browser.

In the address bar, type 192.168.0.1 or the linksys default (should be able to get it from their website)

Configure it the way you want, and replace your 2 wire with the linksys. Unless of course SBC requires you to use thiers, (which in some cases it is configured for your line). You can also try and use both the 2 wire and the linksys, make a new network for your computer and everyone else in on their own network.

I am guessing you just want to connect the new linksys.

Take the ethernet cable that is connected to your cable modem and connect it to the one port on your router that is alone, seperated from the other 4. Then connect another cable to one of the four ports and then to your computer.

The computer should start connecting to the router and the internet starts working. There is no software you need to install.
