I plan on upgrading my PC. I never was able to play good games, and need to get my PC to run smooth for gaming. I got a 2.93 GHz proceesor, so I don't need that. I do need a new video card and RAM, thinking about a gig. One of the main games I want to play is WoW ( World of Warcraft ). Is there anything else I might need to upgrade besides vid card and RAM? ( I know processor is fine )

My budget is about $400, but would prefer more towards $300 ( like, a whole lot. ) I do not want to spend much less than $300, because I wanna be able to play more than WoW. Please post links and anything else I could find useful. Thanks in Advance.

umm I have a 5.8GHz cordless phone and that can't play minesweep...

there is a huge diference between a 2.93GHz Spark Proessor and a 2.93 GHz Celeron D.

    ahha 2.93GHz celeron D with 256mb l2 cache has compareable performance to a 2.3GHz P4(prescott) with 1mb or 2mb l2 cache. a celeron D with 512mb l2 cache is comapreable to a 2.5-2.6ish prescott

um.. lets stop spamming it up?

your processor is terrible, the faster you get that thru your head, the better off you'll be.

    look at something like this:
    pentium d 805 ($95ish)
    medium-end asus mobo ($80-$100)
    1gb ddr2-667/800 ($100ish)
    x800gto ($90)

don't even bother tht much with the board because the PD805 only need 200 FSB(or less) which is standard for most boards now, heck 333 is about to be standard when RD600 is launched...

he can get pretty much anyboard without issues for a PD805... that is what is so attractive about the PD805s... low stock FSB/high multi-easy overclocking for cheap.
