Graphics Pad / Illustrator

Ok

Graphics Pad:
So I am looking to buy a graphics pad my computer (Dell Dimension 8200 Desktop)
I have a choice of up to 150bucks but I dont want to waste it all on one thing
I can go to fry's Electronics (since it is so close to my house) and buy one there.
So i was wondering which one of the following would be the best for me atm.

It is my first time using a graphics pad but I think I will do ok with it :lol:
and I might get a better computer (latptop) once I get admission into a good university/college.

I would like someone to tell me which one would be the best one for me to choose
and anyhelp is appriciated and btw if you think that you can get me a better graphic tablet from some other store then please do post that too

Illustrator:
Ok so I am pretty descent with illustrator I would say around Basic is what I pretty much know.
I want to go more into the depth of Illustrator CS2 and become an advanced at it in doing logos banners for websites and other stuff that can help me in my future career.
I am dead serious about illustrator
I was wondering if any one knows any good books that I can get from Fry's (again) that can help me become an advanced in no time.
Why only fry's because My teacher at my school has a teacher account at frys so i can buy my books through the school
I am looking for books or DVD's that can help me become good at illustrator all the way from 2d in illustrator to 3d and 4d(if it can do that)
I will highly appricate it if you can find me a good book on Illustrator

Photoshop:
I was wondering since I am getting a graphic tabled/pad today
If there are any good books out there (at fry's) that I can buy which can help me use that graphic tablet/pad to make my scanned drawings be a beautiful peice of art
So if you know any books on coloring, making/drawing, and any other ones that can help me a pro at coloring in photoshop using a graphic tablet/pen

for now that is what i need help with
if you have anything else in mind do post it below and we can discuss about it

I mean a graphics pad
like where you have a notepad kind of thing and u can use a light pen to write on it
and it will do anything on a computer which a mouse can but with a light pen

Go with Wacom, always the best and most reliable. I <3 my wacom ^^
